Echoes of The Forbidden Hill by Cinewav | 30 August 2026

National Day may be over, but the spirit it ignites - pride in Singapore’s identity, respect for its many cultures, and the bonds that hold its people together -does not have to end on 9 August.
This month, Singaporeans have one more chance to celebrate what makes this nation extraordinary. Echoes of the Forbidden Hill: A Bilingual Amazing Race Experience is a free, immersive bilingual amazing race where teams race at Fort Canning Park on Sunday, 30 August 2026, from 7:30PM to 10:00PM, a fitting final chapter to a month defined by national pride.
Organised by homegrown audio-tech company Cinewav in collaboration with the National Parks Board (NParks), Fort Canning Park and Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism, and sponsored by AirAsia Move, the event is a love letter to Singapore’s multicultural identity - one that participants do not just observe, but actively live.

Bilingual Buzz Creator Hackathon 2026 by Republic Polytechnic | 8 & 9 September 2026

The Bilingual Buzz Creator Hackathon 2026 is an action-packed, two-day creative challenge on 8 and 9 September 2026 where Republic Polytechnic students transform real campus experiences into compelling bilingual short-form videos. Through hands-on workshops and exciting content challenges, participants will sharpen their storytelling and mobile-editing skills, celebrate what their Mother Tongue means to them, and discover how bilingualism can become a powerful social and professional advantage. It is time to find your voice, tell your story and create content that gets people talking!

Bilingual Eco-Festival by PCF Sparkletots | 12 September 2026

Presented under LKYFB’s Love Our Languages! Community Series, the Bilingual Eco-Festival builds on the success of the Fund’s 2025 community engagement efforts. In partnership with PCF Sparkletots Preschool, the festival will offer a vibrant bilingual experience for preschoolers and their families.

Through interactive booths, storytelling sessions, stage performances and gamified activities, children will explore environmental sustainability while learning and using their Mother Tongue Languages in meaningful, everyday contexts. The festival brings Love Our Languages! to life by nurturing both an appreciation for our languages and a sense of responsibility for the natural world.

Aligned with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, the event is expected to engage between 500 and 800 children and parents. It will be graced by Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and Dr Janil Puthucheary as Guests of Honour.
